Picture framing

All frames made at Leaf Galleries are custom created and we can frame anything for you. To ensure quality control is maintained on every job all our framing is done in-house at our studio directly above the gallery. There is nothing we can’t handle. We have the technology to enhance and protect all of your artwork and other objects, such as football shirts, medals, jewels and collages etc.

All of the mount boards we use are acid-free conservation quality. These have been specially treated to minimise the effects of atmospheric pollutants and to enhance lifespan. Our frames are manufactured using selected timber, sourced from managed forests around the world, in contemporary profiles. Specialist finishes are applied to many of the woods and aluminiums in order to enhance the longevity and appearance of your framing. We have over 400 regular mouldings in stock and we can obtain samples of others should you have an unusual requirement.

Most Limited Editions, photographs and prints are protected with glass. We offer standard float glass, Waterwhite ‘Mirogard’ for perfect appearance, and UV ‘Mirogard’ for the most important conservation pieces. Canvases are mounted onto stretcher bars and can be hung either with or without an additional frame. No glass is used when framing canvas so that the surface texture of the material can be fully appreciated.
